The International WaterCentre’s (IWC) Knowledge Hub for Healthy Rivers and Aquatic Ecosystems in the Asia Pacific region is the first and only Australian-hosted Asia-Pacific Water Forum (APWF) regional water knowledge hubs.

The IWC Knowledge Hub for Healthy Rivers and Aquatic Ecosystems will connect people and organisations concerned about creating healthy rivers and aquatic ecosystems.  The Hub facilitates dialogue with Queensland and Australian-based leading academics and practitioners with a view to develop long term collaborative projects and information sharing.

There are approximately 17 APWF regional water knowledge hubs that together make up a family of internationally recognised institutions committed to and building capacity across the water sector in the Asia-Pacific region.

Other Hub host organisations throughout the region include Singapore’s Public Utility Board, China’s Yellow River Conservancy Commission, Korea’s K-Water, and Sri Lankan based International Water Management Institute, hosting Hubs on knowledge topics such as urban water management, decision-support systems, water quality, irrigation reform, water governance and climate change.

The Asia-Pacific Water Forum is an independent, not-for-profit, nonpartisan and non-political network dedicated to improving sustainable water management by championing best practices, boosting investments, building capacity and enhancing cooperation in the water sector.
